The North Western Provincial Health Office, under the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Project through a Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions listed below, to be employed on a ten (10) month contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

SALARY: A competitive package will be offered to successful candidates on a ten (10) month contract basis.

POSITION 6: ART PROVIDERS – REGISTERED NURSES — 10 (TEN) POSITIONS

Job Purpose

To provide effectively HIV Prevention, care and treatment services in order to achieve Clinical outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

HIV Case Identification

  • Undertakes effectively HIV Testing Services in order to facilitate linkage to care.

Treatment Services

  • Undertakes effectively care and treatment of HIV/TB patients in order to facilitate improved Clinical Outcomes.

Retention

  • Undertakes effectively the provision of retention services in order to facilitate adherence to treatment.

Viral Load

  • Undertakes effectively the monitoring of viral load in HIV/TB patients in order to facilitate appropriate interventions.

Prevention

  • Undertakes effectively the provision of HIV prevention services in order to reduce new infections.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Registered Nursing.
  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Local Language.
  • Integrity, confidentiality and interpersonal skills.
