Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Barman for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for mixology, guest service and creating memorable bar experiences within a high-end estate environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional beverage service and contributing to an elevated guest experience.
Package
• Salary: R6,500 – R7,500 per month DOE• Opportunity to work within a luxury wine estate environment
The Role
The Barman will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to the highest standards while ensuring exceptional guest interaction and service. The role requires strong attention to detail, product knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standards• Provide excellent guest service and engaging bar interactions• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times• Ensure stock control, rotation and accurate usage of bar inventory• Assist with ordering and maintaining bar supplies where required• Recommend drinks and provide product knowledge to guests• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and responsible alcohol service standards• Support the food and beverage team during service periods• Handle guest requests and queries professionally and efficiently• Assist with set-up and breakdown of bar areas for service
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Barman or Bartender in a hospitality environment• Experience within luxury hotels, lodges or fine dining establishments advantageous• Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails and wine service• Excellent guest relations and communication skills• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays• Hospitality training advantageous
