C# Software Developer

Our client is seeking a Software Developer (C#) to join their in-house development team based in Rivonia, Johannesburg. This role is suited to a highly experienced developer who is comfortable working on both maintenance and new development within a structured, enterprise software environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Develop, maintain, and enhance C# applications and related systems

•       Work on both legacy maintenance (50%) and new development (50%)

•       Build and support web server technologies and applications

•       Maintain and improve relational database structures and SQL-based systems

•       Develop and implement data integration scripts and utilities

•       Provide technical input and analysis for internal teams

•       Perform developer testing and ensure system stability

Requirements:

•       Minimum 20 years’ software development experience (C# essential)

•       Strong relational database and SQL experience

•       Solid database analysis and system design skills

•       Experience working with Microsoft and open-source technologies

•       Ability to work from minimal detailed specifications

•       Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

•       Ability to work independently or within a team

Secondary Experience:

•       PostgreSQL or Oracle exposure

•       Linux experience advantageous

•       Strong debugging and system troubleshooting skills
