Position Summary
The Data Capturer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various types of data within the company's information systems. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter data from source documents into relevant databases, spreadsheets, or systems.
- Review and verify data for completeness, correctness, and compliance with established standards.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in information and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all company data.
- Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries as directed by management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Matric certificate or equivalent; additional qualifications in data processing or administration will be an advantage.
- Maximo or GSI knowledge will be advantage.
- Understanding of serialization.
- Proven experience in data entry, data capture, or a related administrative role.
- Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
