Purpose

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Product Owner to manage business-facing data products throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will define the product vision, roadmap, and backlog to maximise business value, improve data quality, and enable data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and desired business outcomes.
• Own, manage, and prioritise the product backlog based on business value.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define and refine data product requirements.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture teams to deliver high-value data products.
• Drive improvements in data quality, accessibility, and usability.
• Define product success measures and monitor business outcomes and value delivery.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and product governance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Champion Agile Product Ownership and promote continuous product improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner.
• Experience delivering Data or Analytics products.
• Strong understanding of Data Platforms and Analytics.
• Experience with product roadmap development and backlog management.
• Agile and Scrum delivery experience.
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of data quality and data governance principles.
• Experience measuring product success through value realisation and KPI management.
• Financial Services industry experience is advantageous.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is preferred.
