This is a practical, guest-facing role suited to someone who takes pride in safe, courteous driving and enjoys being part of a small, close-knit hospitality team; the property's dramatic coastal setting means good local knowledge and a calm approach to varied routes are valuable assets.
Core Criteria:
- Valid driver's license (Code 08 or higher); PDP advantageous
- Previous experience in a similar driving role within hospitality or guest transport
- Clean driving record and safety-conscious approach
- Good knowledge of the Cape Town and Hout Bay area
- Well presented, polite, and guest-focused
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Good communication skills in English
Core Responsibilities:
- Transport guests safely and punctually to and from the airport, activities, and local points of interest
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy, and presentable condition
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist guests with luggage and provide a warm, professional welcome and farewell
- Liaise with front-of-house and management on guest transport schedules
- Ensure adherence to all road safety regulations
- Support the wider team with errands and logistics as required
