Electrical Draughtsman / Revit Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for electrical building services.
• Produce electrical layouts for:
  • Lighting and emergency lighting
  • Small power and general power
  • Cable routes and containment
  • Distribution boards and electrical reticulation
  • Fire detection and other electrical services, where applicable
• Prepare schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams and detailed construction drawings.
• Update drawings and models in accordance with engineer and client comments.
• Coordinate electrical services with architectural, structural and other building services disciplines.
• Identify and assist with resolving clashes and coordination issues within Revit models.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with company standards, project requirements and relevant drafting conventions.
• Assist engineers and project teams with the preparation of tender and construction documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control requirements.
• Attend coordination meetings when required.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Draughting, CAD, BIM, Engineering Drawing or a related field.
• Approximately 3–5 years' experience in electrical draughting and BIM modelling.
• Previous experience working on building services projects is essential.
• Experience within a consulting engineering environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge and practical experience using Revit.
• Understanding of electrical building services systems and drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, sketches and specifications.
• Experience coordinating electrical services with other disciplines would be advantageous.
