- Lead month-end and year-end close processes across the full real estate portfolio
- Manage and support a remote accounting team, including offshore staff and external CPA partners
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly owner reporting to clients, investors, and stakeholders
- Oversee multi-entity, multi-currency cash management across CAD and USD environments
- Drive key system migrations, including the transition from Hopem to Kompas, alongside Yardi for US operations
- Ensure accuracy of rent rolls, oversee AR collections, and manage property-level financial performance (P&L)
- Strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, and coordinate audit processes
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and detailed variance analysis
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with tax filings across both Canada and the US
Skills & Experience: - CA(SA) / ACCA / AGA(SA) or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in real estate or property management accounting across commercial, residential, or mixed-use portfolios
- Brings over 7 years of progressive accounting experience within a professional environment
- Proven hands-on expertise with property accounting systems such as Yardi, AppFolio, Hopem, RealPage, Buildium, MRI, or similar
- Experience managing and leading remote accounting teams across multiple time zones
- Strong track record of independently managing full month-end close processes
- Solid exposure to US GAAP and Canadian ASPE/IFRS reporting standards
Qualification:- CA(SA) / ACCA / AGA(SA)
- Honors degree in Accounting / Finance or relevant
