Job Description:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
• Carry out machining activities using centre lathes and milling machines
• Maintain and repair pumps, mixers, centrifuges, and other processing equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities to improve reliability
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Support plant and facility maintenance activities as required
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and lockout procedures

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong machining experience, including centre lathes and milling machines
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience repairing centrifugal and pneumatic pumps
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and record keeping
• Experience in chemical, processing, or industrial manufacturing environments advantageous
• TIG welding experience advantageous
• Knowledge of mechanical seal repairs advantageous

Qualification:

• Fitter & Turner (N3–N6) with Trade Test (Red Seal)
