Main Job Responsibilities:
Installing and maintaining hydraulic systems
Troubleshooting issues and repair leaks or damage components
Conducting routine inspections and test
Replace worn-out parts and ensuring system efficiency
Ensure daily planned maintenance is completed daily.
Attend to breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
Ensure job cards are done daily.
Report all defects on machines to mechanical foreman.
Ensure safety inspections are carried out on plant machines.
Undertake installations and modifications of equipment.
Assist Engineering team where necessary.
Qualification and Experience:
Grade 12
Qualified trade test (Fitter)
Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar position
Previous experience in the maintenance and repair of overhead cranes will be advantageous
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Time management
Own reliable transport
Available to work shifts
Available to work overtime if and when required
Own tools
Ability to respond well under pressure.
Team player
Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and understanding on health and safety regulations.
Self-motivated, committed to achieve goals and objectives.
