Our client is a well-established South African mining company operating within the open-cast coal mining sector in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will take full accountability for the safe, legal, and profitable management of the mining operation. Responsibilities include leading production teams, achieving production targets, ensuring MHSA compliance, managing operational budgets, overseeing contractor performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting mine planning activities, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operational areas.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• GCC Mines and Works Certificate (Metalliferous or Coal Mines).
• Degree or Diploma in Mining / Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' mining experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven open-cast coal mining experience with strong production, planning, and operational management expertise.
• Sound knowledge of MHSA legislation, mine safety standards, contractor management, and cost control principles
