GENERAL FOREMAN (FINISHING) – HIGH-RISE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS Atlantic Seaboard, Cape Town

• A leading building contractor is seeking an experienced General Foreman with strong finishing experience to join its team on prestigious high-rise residential developments along the Atlantic Seaboard.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 10 years' building construction experience
Proven track record as a General Foreman on large residential or mixed-use developments
Extensive experience managing and coordinating all finishing trades including:

• Painting
• Tiling
• Joinery
• Ceilings and partitions
• Waterproofing
• Flooring
• Fixtures and fittings

Strong understanding of quality control and finishing standards
Ability to drive programme targets and maintain high levels of workmanship

Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple finishing teams

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all finishing activities from commencement through to handover
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site labour
• Monitor quality, productivity and programme performance
• Ensure work is completed to the highest standards and within project deadlines
• Conduct inspections and snagging processes
• Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements

Assist with project planning and resource allocation
Liaise with site management, consultants and clients
