Housekeeping Contract Manager

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeping Contract Manager to oversee housekeeping and back-of-house operations at a large, busy hotel with more than 350 rooms in the CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader with strong operational, people management and industrial relations experience who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the day-to-day housekeeping and back-of-house operations to ensure exceptional service delivery. Work closely with the client's Executive Housekeeper to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department. Report directly to Operations Manager while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the client. Lead; motivate and develop a large housekeeping team. Manage employee relations matters, including discipline, performance management and adherence to labour legislation. Ensure staffing levels are effectively managed through electronic rostering systems. Monitor productivity, quality standards and operational efficiencies. Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with hotel and client expectations. Be actively involved on the operational floor, providing visible leadership and hands-on support where required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience managing housekeeping operations within a large hotel environment Strong people management and leadership skills. Solid Industrial Relations (IR) knowledge and experience. Hands-on management style with a visible operational presence. Experience using Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems. Experience with electronic rostering systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional; well-presented and customer-focused. Afrikaans language skills will be advantageous. PREFERRED PROFILE: Experience managing large teams in a hospitality, housekeeping environment. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Employment Equity candidates are encouraged to apply.
