About Us

We are a Non-Bank Micro Finance Company in Zambia, seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Generalist to join our team.

Job Summary

The HR Generalist will run day-to-day human resource functions across the entire employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate ensures full corporate compliance with Zambian labor statutes, coordinates recruitment, processes local benefits, and fosters a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Compliance: Align all company employment policies, disciplinary actions, and terminations in line with the Zambian Employment Code Act, 2019.
  • Statutory & Payroll Support: Coordinate employee records with the finance team to guarantee timely compliance with NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, and Workers' Compensation (WCFCB).
  • Recruitment & Hiring: Manage end-to-end local hiring, draft employment contracts, and run complete onboarding programs.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, chair internal disciplinary committees, and document local labor dispute hearings.
  • Leave & Welfare: Track statutory leave balances including annual, sick, maternity, paternity, and mandatory compasionate leave.
  • Workplace Policies: Implement workplace codes of conduct covering health, safety, wellness, and anti-harassment standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Professional Registration: Must be a paid-up member of ZIHRM with a current, valid practicing license.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of progressive HR experience within Zambia.
  • Sector Advantage: Prior HR experience working within the Mining industry or the Non-Banking Financial Services (NBFI) sector is an added advantage.
  • Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Employment Code Act of 2019 and the Industrial and Labour Relations Act.
  • Tech Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel and local HRIS or payroll systems.
