URGENT VACANCY: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

Location: Masaiti District (near Kafulafuta Toll Gate), Zambia

About Us
Winco Industries is a Chinese manufacturing company establishing a new factory in Masaiti District, near the Kafulafuta Toll Gate. As we expand our operations in Zambia, we are seeking experienced, qualified professionals to join our team and support the long-term manufacturing operations of the factory.

Instrument Technician

Responsibilities:

Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and process control equipment across the plant
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration checks to reduce equipment downtime
Diagnose and resolve faults in sensors, transmitters, gauges, controllers, and control loops quickly and effectively
Maintain accurate calibration records and maintenance logs
Ensure all work complies with relevant instrumentation, electrical safety codes, and industry standards
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new production equipment and control systems

Requirements:

Diploma/Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Process Control, or a related field
Registered/affiliated with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or TEVETA, as applicable
Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant work experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
Sound knowledge of instrumentation and control systems (PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and control valves) and calibration tools
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
Sound knowledge of electrical and industrial safety standards

General Requirements 

Valid NRC/Passport
Willingness to be based on-site at the factory in Masaiti District
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team
