Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized IT Data Entry Clerk to join our Information Technology team. Below are the attributes and responsibilities of the suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain IT-related data in company databases and systems.

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data before entry.

  • Maintain electronic and physical records of IT assets, users, software licenses, and system documentation.

  • Generate routine reports and assist with data analysis when required.

  • Perform regular data validation and identify inconsistencies or errors.

  • Support IT inventory management by updating asset registers and tracking equipment.

  • Assist in documenting IT support requests and maintaining service records.

  • Ensure confidentiality and security of company information.

  • Organize and archive IT documents according to company policies.

  • Collaborate with other departments to obtain and update required information.

  • Provide administrative support to the IT department as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Certificate in Computer Applications will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data entry, IT administration, records management, or a related role.

  • Experience working with databases, ERP systems, or IT asset management systems is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent typing speed with high accuracy.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Familiarity with databases and data management systems.

  • Good understanding of IT terminology, computer hardware, and software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
