About the role
The IT Support & Infrastructure Intern will assist the IT Department with day-to-day technical support, device preparation, classroom technology support, printer support, and basic infrastructure-related tasks while gaining practical workplace experience within a modern school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to staff and students.
- Troubleshoot laptops, Chromebooks, printers, and classroom technology.
- Assist with basic Chromebook and laptop hardware repairs.
- Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace users.
- Assist with printer support and print room operations.
- Help with device setup, software installations, and workstation preparation.
- Support classroom AV, projectors, and interactive displays.
- Assist with IT asset management, cable management, and general maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES Programme before.
- Matric.
- completed an IT-related qualification will be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of computers, hardware, and software.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
