Junior Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating all local and international transport, including road, sea, and air freight
• Obtaining and comparing transport quotes to ensure cost-effective logistics solutions
• Planning and scheduling deliveries, ensuring alignment with warehouse and sales operations
• Managing and maintaining accurate records of product weights, dimensions, and logistics data
• Liaising with branches, suppliers, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations
• Coordinating interbranch transfers and ensuring all required documentation is completed
• Monitoring delivery schedules and communicating any changes to relevant stakeholders
• Handling transport-related insurance claims and resolving logistics issues
• Supporting export processes, including assisting with shipping quotes and container logistics
• Continuously identifying opportunities to improve transport efficiency and processes

• Matric (Mathematics advantageous)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a logistics or transport coordination environment
• Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SYSPRO)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
