Description:

Our client is looking for someone in Pretoria who wants an opportunity to build a career in VoIP, Networking & IT support. This is a full-time, on-site role. Formal IT qualifications are not required, but you must be able to show practical ability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. They care more about what you have done, fixed, built, learned, or accomplished than certificates, diplomas and degrees.

The work includes:

• Installing and setting up VoIP phones, routers, switches, Wi-Fi equipment, and network cabling
• Client site visits around Gauteng
• IT support for clients
• Troubleshooting Internet, Phone, Wi-Fi, and Network issues
• Keeping clear notes on jobs, client sites, faults, and fixes
• Using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to research issues, create documentation, and improve your workflow

Useful experience, but not required:

• Fixing Wi-Fi, computers, phones, printers, or tech problems for family, friends, school, community projects, or a small business
• Building or repairing PCs
• Basic networking knowledge
• Cabling, CCTV, IT support, VoIP Exposure
• MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Yealink, Grandstream, 3CX, Yeastar, or similar systems

Requirements:

• Based in or near Pretoria
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• Able to communicate clearly in English and Afrikaans
• Comfortable with full-time, on-site work
• Comfortable with hands-on installation work, including tools, ladders, cables, ceilings, and client sites
• Able to use AI tools and explain how you have used them for something practical
