Purpose of the Role
To operate and monitor the hair colour packing line, ensuring products are packed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Responsibilities include machine operation, batch code changes, quality inspections, and compliance with safety and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packing and cartooning equipment as per procedures.
- Ensure products are packed correctly as per schedules.
- Identify operational issues affecting productivity.
- Perform machine adjustments and size changeovers.
- Conduct routine quality inspections.
Safety, Health and Environmental Responsibilities
- Comply with HSEQ requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Participate in safety training and activities.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / NSC.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read production documentation.
- 2 - 3 years experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Clean criminal record
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with packaging machinery.
- Understanding of batch coding and GMP.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
