Maintenance Assistant

Set within an open, unfenced reserve system where wildlife moves freely between properties, this lodge relies on a maintenance team that can turn their hand to almost anything. The ideal candidate is a true all-rounder, comfortable working across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep, and able to keep a remote bush property running smoothly day to day.

Core Criteria:

• Solid, practical maintenance experience across multiple disciplines (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general repairs)
• Able to diagnose and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working in a remote, off-grid lodge environment
• Physically fit and willing to do hands-on manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and able to respond quickly to maintenance requests

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the property
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist with the upkeep of lodge infrastructure and equipment
• Support other departments with maintenance-related tasks as needed
• Report on work completed and flag any ongoing issues to management
