Duties & Responsibilities
Work activities can vary depending on the project, but typical duties can include:
- Repair plumbing (non-negotiable)
- Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs
- Furniture build and carpentry
- Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting in the diagnosis and repair of faults in Electrical and Mechanical
- Installations, plant and equipment
- Available and or to be schedule to work on emergency calls
- Performs general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines
- Electrical and safety systems
- Undertake repairs to building furniture including doors, windows, cupboards, shelving, and building fabric.
- Perform minor adjustments on room furniture, fixtures and other items in the facilities as required
Requirements
- Matric Certificate or equivalent (non-negotiable) Requirements
- Technical skills (non-negotiable)
- A minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role
- Solid experience with plumbing
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
- Extremely organised with good communication skills
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Have a valid driver’s license (non-negotiable)
- Have a SA ID or Work permit (non-negotiable)
