Background

Black Diamond Mining is seeking a dedicated Conveyor Belt Operator to join our team. This role is crucial for the efficient and safe operation of our mining activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors by enforcing strict safety protocols.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses (JSA) for all mining activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, water usage, and land rehabilitation.
• Develop and test emergency response plans for incidents (mine collapses, fires, chemical spills, medical evacuations).
• Monitor air quality, noise levels, and dust suppression to protect workers and surrounding communities.
• Report and investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
