Key Responsibilities
Project Kit Preparation & Dispatch
Our client is looking for someone who will:
- Prepare and pack project kits accurately in accordance with approved Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure complete project kits are dispatched on time to support installation schedules.
- Coordinate dispatch readiness in line with project timelines and operational requirements.
- Identify and communicate stock shortages proactively to prevent project delays.
- Verify that all materials are correctly labelled, packed, and ready for transportation.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain accurate stock binning, labelling, and warehouse organization.
- Ensure physical stock aligns with inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support periodic stock takes.
- Monitor stock movement and inventory levels to ensure availability.
- Prepare stock ageing reports and highlight slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through disciplined stock control processes.
Returns Handling & Warranty Administration
Responsibilities include:
- Receive, inspect, and process returned project materials.
- Assess returned stock and determine whether items are reusable, repairable, or require disposal.
- Quarantine and clearly identify faulty items for warranty assessment.
- Maintain accurate records of all returned materials and warranty claims.
- Reconcile returned inventory and ensure complete documentation for audit purposes.
Delivery Coordination & Communication
The role requires the successful candidate to:
- Prepare accurate dispatch documentation and delivery handovers.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and internal project teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Ensure proof-of-delivery documentation is received, verified, and filed.
- Maintain clear communication with project teams regarding deliveries and material availability.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies promptly to minimize project disruption.
Warehouse Compliance & Housekeeping
Our client is looking for someone who will:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and SHEQ requirements.
- Conduct regular housekeeping and safety inspections.
- Ensure storage racks, fire lanes, hazardous material areas, and access routes remain compliant.
- Promote safe working practices and support continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A post-school qualification or certification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least three years' experience in warehousing, stock control, inventory management, or project logistics.
- Experience within the electrical, renewable energy, solar, construction, or industrial sectors will be highly advantageous.
- Experience managing project materials, dispatch coordination, and inventory systems is preferred.
Advantageous Experience
Experience or knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) components, including:
- Inverters
- Batteries
- Mounting and racking systems
- Solar panels
- DC and AC cabling
- Balance of System (BOS) components
