Mechanical Draftsman

Position Requirements

• Solid background in SolidWorks
• Qualification as a Draftsman (or industrial designer). I feel like the role is more suited to a draftsman and we will possibly be able to retain employees better if we take the draftsman route.
• Preferably based in Pretoria
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Experience in AutoCAD will be an advantage

• Creating detailed drawings of 3D components
• Assisting with project planning and coordination
• Designing new products (Research & Development)
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings
• Assisting in the factory with prototype/sample construction
• Preparing cutting lists for production
• Attending to on-site work when necessary
• Writing installation and user manuals for products
• Drafting and maintaining job cards for factory operations
