Metallurgical Process Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute laboratory and pilot-scale metallurgical test programs, including data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of flotation and related processing equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct sampling campaigns, prepare samples for analysis, and accurately record technical test data.
  • Prepare technical reports, commercial proposals, equipment recommendations, and project documentation within agreed timelines.
  • Assist with the full lifecycle management of customer projects, including proposal development, test planning, execution, contract support, and final presentations.
  • Provide technical support to clients by identifying process improvements, resolving operational issues, and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and best practices while supporting the development of operating manuals, training materials, and process flowsheets.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma in Process, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant metallurgical or mineral processing experience.
  • Experience executing laboratory and pilot-scale test work campaigns.
  • Exposure to industrial mineral processing plants, particularly flotation and magnetic separation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong technical reporting, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally to customer sites.
