A Mining house based in the Northern Cape region is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior General Manager.

Duties:

• 
  
• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the mining operation
• Drive operational performance, safety, and long-term sustainability of the mine
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and compliant execution of mining activities
• Lead business planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including organised labour, communities, regulators, and industry bodies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology or equivalent (essential)
• Postgraduate qualification MBA or MBL (Advantageous)
• Mine Mangers Certificate of competency (essential)
• GCC (recommend)
• Minimum 15 years' experience in the mining industry
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management role leading large multidisciplinary operational teams
• Extensive open pit mining experience within a large-scale mining environment
• Demonstrated experience in strategy execution, business optimisation and operational performance management
• Experience managing significant operational, capital and labour budgets
• Medically fit
• Valid Driver's license (Code EB)
