Job Overview:

To source and purchase terrestrial cable to be dismantled and recycled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate valuation of stock.
• Determine the value of the stock by trying to best identify the various
  materials which make up the cable.
• Purchasing of cable through auction and tenders.
• Stay informed regarding upcoming auctions selling terrestrial cable.
• Obtain a maximum mandate bid from the Directors.
• Bid on the cable at auction, without exceeding the maximum
  mandated bid.
• Stay informed regarding tenders available for terrestrial cable.
• Obtain a mandate from the Operations Director to purchase the cable.
• Maintain positive relationships with service providers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• At least five years of experience within a related field (e.g. nonferrous
  buying, scrap or metal recycling)
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer literate
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.

Candidates must be willing to travel regularly, as it will be a requirement of
the job.
