Minimum Qualifications:
- National Diploma (NQF Level 6) Water Related Qualification
Added advantage:
- Relevant qualification in Water Care
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years’ experience, 3 years in water treatment
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the appointee will:
- Implement business plans at one or multiple works in the region to provide a reliable water supply.
- and/or effluent discharge.
- Control business risk by ensuring that AW meet SANS 241 for WTW and General Authorization for WWTW.
- Monitor continuous water demand.
- Ensure that infrastructure, WTWs, WWTWs and equipment operate to specified standards to
- meet demands
- Initiate and maintain communications with customers and stakeholders
- Control statutory requirements to promote the health of consumers, customers and employees
- Supervise the security of Assets and Works
- Manage cost centre budgets
- Manage and supervise staff to achieve maximum productivity
Key Competencies:
- Supervisory or management skills
- Computer Literacy – MS Office
- Knowledge of OHS Act
- Telemetry experience
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license
- Supervisory skills
- Knowledge of the AW area of supply
- Ability to communicate in Xhosa, English and Afrikaans
