Printer Assistants (x2) - Port Elizabeth

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Qualification in the Trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding
• Computer literacy is essential
• Understanding of ink viscosity and colour matching
• Ability and willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
• Proactive, responsible, and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Assist the operator with machine setup according to best operating practices
• Support the operator with Abaca and Shopware feedback where applicable
• Assist the operator during production runs to ensure maximum productivity
• Monitor product quality and report any deviations
• Operate the machine at an acceptable competence level in the absence of the operator
• Carry out all reasonable instructions from the supervisor
• Motivate, organize, and mentor machine crew members
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and principles
• Participate proactively in improving machine availability and efficiency
