PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Our client, a leading renewable energy operation is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced candidate to join its management team at a large-scale solar plant near Upington.

PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Upington area, Northern Cape

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong procurement, supplier management and strategic sourcing experience to play a key role in supporting sustainable energy operations.

Requirements:

-        Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce or Finance

-        5–6 years’ procurement or supply chain management experience

-        Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role

-        Experience with ERP/procurement systems (SAP or similar advantageous)

-        Strong negotiation, analytical and leadership skills

-        Valid driver’s license

-        Excellent written and spoken English

-        Able to perform in a high-performance operational environment

-        Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

Key Responsibilities:

-        Lead and manage the procurement and supply chain function

-        Develop procurement strategies and manage budgets

-        Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements

-        Ensure accurate procurement reporting and compliance

-        Collaborate with Finance and Warehouse departments

-        Drive cost-saving initiatives and procurement efficiencies

-        Oversee supplier performance and inventory integration
