About the Role:

• Project Manager Jobs in Lusaka As a Project Manager at Hanchu Energy, you will lead all phases of renewable energy projects, from initial planning through to execution and closeout.
• You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage contractors, and liaise closely with key stakeholders including clients, ZESCO, and the Energy Regulation Board (ERB).
• Your leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, budget, and execute solar PV and battery storage projects with precision and efficiency.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to maintain high performance standards.
• Coordinate with clients, ZESCO, ERB, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progress.
• Oversee procurement processes, logistics, import coordination, and site mobilization activities.
• Monitor project costs, timelines, quality control, and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Prepare detailed project reports, maintain risk registers, and develop accurate forecasts.
• Support tendering processes and bid preparation for upcoming projects to secure new business.
• Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering Management, or Renewable Energy is advantageous.
• 7 to 10 years of engineering or construction project experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Proven track record managing commercial and utility-scale solar projects successfully.
• Experience collaborating with EPC contractors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
• Familiarity with ZESCO grid codes and ERB licensing procedures is a plus.
• Strong leadership abilities, excellent stakeholder management, and advanced project management skills.
• Certifications and Additional Requirements PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is required.
• Possession of a valid Zambian Driver’s Licence.
