Quality Technician (Manufacturing)

6 Month Contract | Rosslyn, Pretoria | R15,000 per month

Are you an experienced Quality Technician with a background in manufacturing and laboratory testing?
An established manufacturing company in Rosslyn, Pretoria is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team on a 6 month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong quality control, laboratory and Quality Management System (QMS) experience within a manufacturing environment.

Position Details

  • Position: Quality Technician
  • Location: Rosslyn, Pretoria
  • Contract Duration: 6 Months
  • Salary: R15,000 per month
  • Industry: Manufacturing
  • Working Hours: Shift work (day and night shifts)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory testing.
  • Record and report test results accurately.
  • Identify and report quality deviations and non-conforming products.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and testing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO standards and laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure consistent product quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric.
  • National Diploma in Engineering, Chemistry or a related qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Technician within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience in laboratory testing, quality inspections and quality control processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

Advantageous

  • ISO 9001 knowledge.
  • Chemical laboratory experience.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and testing methods.
  • Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment.
