Job Summary
The Sales Team Lead is responsible for the day-to- day coordination, performance oversight, quality control, and contractual compliance of an assigned group of independent sales agents. The Sales Team Lead acts as the first point of accountability for sales outcomes, agent performance standards, compliance, and operational discipline within the assigned portfolio, and is directly answerable to the Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily sales output, pipeline conversion trends, and deal progression to achieve specific team commercial targets.
- Allocate opportunities and territories while maintaining clear contractor boundaries without exercising employer-style control.
- Ensure agent adherence to authorized pricing frameworks, regulatory mandates, and company ethical selling guidelines.
- Review agent deliverables against KPIs and recommend necessary performance notices or contract actions.
- Validate sales pipeline accuracy and prepare clear team data reviews for the Commercial Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of sales experience, including managing or coordinating independent agents or partners
- Strong understanding of performance-based contracting environments
- Proven ability to drive results through influence rather than control
