The successful candidate will oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities for Senior Finance Officer Jobs in Ndola Manage the Accounts Payable processes in line with established policies and procedures to guarantee timely and accurate payments.

Review supplier invoices and supporting documentation to verify completeness and validity before processing. Match supplier invoices to purchase orders, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or irregularities promptly.

Respond to supplier queries and escalate unresolved issues to the Head of Accounting or Cashier as necessary. Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier sub-ledger accounts against the general ledger and the Company’s Accounts Payable register.

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all invoices, approved payments, and staff advances. Prepare ageing reports on outstanding debts and payments to suppliers to support effective cash flow management.

Review and verify staff advance requests, ensuring all requisitions have appropriate departmental authorization. Recommend improvements to invoice processing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Compile periodic activity reports detailing outstanding payments and invoice statuses for the Head of Accounting. Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor to support the finance department’s objectives.

Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Full Grade Twelve school certificate.

Membership in a recognized and accredited professional accounting body. At least seven (7) years of progressive and relevant work experience in finance roles.
