About the Role:

Senior Hydropower Engineer Jobs in Kitwe As a Senior Hydropower Engineer at Knight Piesold, you will take a leadership role in the development and execution of hydropower projects, contributing your technical expertise throughout all phases.

Your responsibilities will span from initial feasibility studies to project implementation and operational oversight, ensuring projects meet quality standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the development and delivery of hydropower projects.

Provide technical guidance on the design, refurbishment, and development of hydroelectric power plants. Manage project lifecycles, from feasibility assessments to construction and operational phases.

Conduct technical due diligence for owners, lenders, and investors. Serve as Owner’s Engineer and Lender’s Technical Advisor on hydropower initiatives.

Oversee construction activities and monitor operational performance to ensure compliance and quality. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintain strong client relationships.

Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Proven experience in the power generation sector, with a focus on hydropower projects. Demonstrated expertise in both new-build and refurbishment hydroelectric power plant projects.

Strong knowledge of project development, management, technical due diligence, and construction monitoring. Experience acting as Owner’s Engineer and/or Lender’s Technical Advisor is highly advantageous.
