Minimum Qualifications:
- B- Degree in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7)
- Registration as a professional engineer or Technologist (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
- Registration as a Pr CPM or PMP an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Infrastructure Environment, inclusive of 3 years Project Management Experience
- Experience in water infrastructure environment, will be an added advantage
Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Management Unit, the employee will:
- Define project management framework
- Ensure development the Project Lifecycle
- Establish clear project governance roles
- Ensure Project Planning
- Ensure that project needs are aligned to the Infrastructure Development Plan
- Monitor GIS inputs for all feasibility studies
- Ensure Monitoring of project implementation
- Ensure that construction is in line with the initial goal of the project
- Ensure a quality control plan is developed
- Ensure Project Control
- Ensure management of professional service providers
- Ensure the preparation of regular progress reports for the CE and Department of Water and Sanitation
- Knowledge of OHS Act
- Knowledge of Environmental Act
- Contract Management Standards: GCC 2000
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Processes
- Knowledge of PFMA
- Good overall knowledge of the water industry
- Computer Literacy
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license
