Our client, a well-established leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Support Engineer to join their MIS team based in Bryanston. Key Responsibilities:- Manage and optimise VMware virtual infrastructure environments
- Oversee enterprise backup solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication
- Administer and maintain server hardware and storage infrastructure
- Lead infrastructure-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety standards
Job Experience and Skills Required:Education:- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
Experience:- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator (Windows Server)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience managing VMware environments
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with Veeam backup solutions
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with IBM storage systems
Skills & Certifications:- MCSA/MCSE (Windows Server) – mandatory
- MCITP Enterprise Administrator – essential
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification
- IBM Certified Specialist (System X, Storage, Tape, Fibre)
- Veeam Certified Backup Specialist
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure
Additional Requirements:- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Willingness to travel as required
- Availability for after-hours support, standby, and weekend work
