Core Criteria:
- Previous stock control experience in a hospitality, restaurant, or lodge environment essential
- Solid understanding of food and beverage stock management, including par levels, ordering cycles, and wastage control
- Proficient with stock control systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong numerical and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams
- High level of honesty and integrity when handling stock and financial records
- Physically able to manage stock handling, including lifting and moving goods
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular stock takes across kitchen, bar, and storage areas
- Manage stock ordering, receiving, and supplier reconciliation
- Maintain accurate stock records and reporting systems
- Monitor par levels and flag shortages or overstocking
- Reconcile stock counts against invoices and delivery notes
- Minimise wastage, breakages, and stock discrepancies
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) across all storage areas
- Liaise with chefs, bar management, and senior management on stock needs and cost control
- Support month-end stock reporting and cost percentage tracking
