Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance or Auditing would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience conducting stocktakes or inventory audits within convenience retail, FMCG, supermarket or fuel retail environments.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and stock reconciliation.
  • Experience using stock management or ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively across South Africa, including overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and ad hoc stocktakes at convenience stores across South Africa.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile stock variances.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify possible causes.
  • Audit stock receiving, transfers, returns and inventory processes.
  • Verify compliance with company stock control procedures and policies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Identify risks relating to stock losses, shrinkage and operational controls.
  • Work closely with store management to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and timely submission of audit reports.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance stock accuracy.
