Key Responsibilities for Technician Mining Jobs in Solwezi Repair and optimize the Mine’s Private Radio Network to ensure seamless communication. Manage radio repeater stations, including installation, programming, and repair of all user equipment.

Conduct repairs on the Mine’s Pit Rajant Mesh Network (Production Network). Install and maintain the WENCO fleet management system on all mining hauling machines.

Install and repair Driver Safety Systems (DSS) on mining haul trucks. Maintain and repair Avigilon CCTV systems throughout the mine site.

Manage repair and installation of Brigade systems on all mining haul trucks. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate. Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.

All academic qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA). At least 3 years of relevant experience in communication systems.

Computer literacy is essential. A valid driver’s licence is required.

Experience with DSSI, Brigade, Rajant, or Mesh networks is an advantage. Behavioural Traits and Operational Requirements Strong teamwork and bold initiative.

Commitment to safety and quality standards. Technical proficiency and consistent attendance.

Willingness to work standby shifts and overtime as necessary. Ability to work in environments exposed to dust, heat, and noise.

Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and the cultural and political environment. Additional Information This full-time role falls under the Engineering & Construction category.
