ABOUT THE ROLE

GS Cash Advance Limited is looking for motivated, ambitious and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Trainee Loan Consultant Interns.

The successful candidates will support the growth and smooth operation of our branches by promoting our salary advance products, acquiring and serving customers, conducting loan assessments, following up on repayments and contributing to the achievement of branch sales and business targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and market GS Cash Advance salary advance products.
• Achieve assigned sales, customer acquisition and revenue targets.
• Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
• Arrange client appointments and conduct loan assessments in line with company credit policies.
• Screen and verify loan applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support the processing and disbursement of approved salary advances.
• Monitor loan repayments and follow up with clients on unpaid loans.
• Deliver excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer enquiries.
• Receive and manage customer feedback while escalating complex complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in branch marketing, outreach and customer acquisition activities.
• Maintain accurate loan and customer documentation in line with company requirements.
• Adhere to cash management, risk management and internal control procedures.
• Work closely with Branch Managers, Senior Loan Consultants, Marketing teams and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, processes and customer experience.
• Exercise sound judgment while operating within company policies, procedures and credit guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

A Full Grade 12 Certificate.

A minimum of a Diploma, preferably a bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or another relevant commercial field from a recognized institution.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

High levels of integrity, professionalism and accountability.

Good knowledge of banking, accounting or financial services.

Good computer skills and the ability to use different computer applications.

Fluency in English and at least one local language.

A strong customer-service and sales mindset.

The ability to work under pressure and meet set targets.

A willingness to learn, take initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
