About the Underwriter Data Entry Jobs in Lusaka at Venture Holding Limited The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our daily insurance operations by managing underwriting administration, processing policies, and maintaining precise insurance records.

This position demands attention to detail and a strong understanding of insurance documentation and systems. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and update client, policy, and insurance information using Smart Policy software.

Prepare and process quotations, policies, endorsements, renewals, and related insurance documentation. Assist in underwriting and placement of general insurance business.

Review proposal forms and supporting documents to ensure completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with insurers to obtain quotations, policy documents, and endorsements.

Maintain accurate premium, policy, and client records. Monitor policy expiry dates and support renewal follow-ups.

Prepare debit notes, schedules, and other insurance-related documentation. Ensure proper electronic and physical filing of insurance records.

Verify entered information and promptly correct discrepancies. Support the operations team with reporting and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications and Experience Diploma, Degree, or relevant qualification in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in insurance underwriting, broking operations, or policy administration.

Hands-on experience with Smart Policy software is highly preferred. Solid understanding of general insurance products including Motor, Fire, Accident, Engineering, and other classes.

Experience processing quotations, endorsements, renewals, and policies is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer applications.

Essential Skills Fast and accurate data entry capabilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with insurance terminology and documentation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Organized and efficient in managing multiple policies and deadlines. Effective communication skills with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
