Role: Web Technical Lead

Duration: 06 Months Contract

Location: Johannesburg

Role Purpose

Highly skilled individual responsible for leading technical design, development oversight, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Objectives

• Provide expert-level technical leadership across web and mobile platforms
• Ensure best practices in architecture, security, and performance
• Drive high-quality software delivery and engineering discipline
• Enable scalable and resilient system design

Experience

• Minimum 15+ years in software engineering
• Proven experience leading cross-platform development teams

Technical Expertise

• Mobile Development (Native iOS(Swift/Objective-C) & Native Android (Kotlin/Java)
• Web Development (React.js, TypeScript & Node.js)
• Backend & APIs (Express.js & GraphQL APIs)
• Infrastructure & DevOps(AWS Services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.)  & Nginx configuration and optimisation

Leadership & Engineering Practices

• Code reviews and quality assurance
• Secure coding practices
• Scalable architecture design
• Performance optimisation
• DevOps and CI/CD integration
• Mentorship and team leadership
