Cashier

Duties:
 
Scan items, apply discounts/coupons, and collect payments (cash, debit, credit, or mobile).
Greet customers, answer product questions, and resolve complaints or process returns.
Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts and track daily transactions.
Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and assist with bagging items or restocking.
Follow store policies and verify customer age when selling restricted items.
 
Requirements:
 
Grade 12
At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar position
Basic arithmetic and counting skills to verify totals and make exact change.
Accuracy in handling money and scanning the correct items.
Clear, courteous interaction with customers.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
