Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workshop schedules.
• Coordinate workshop inspection activities.
• Issue job cards.
• Monitor progress against planned completion dates.
• Identify bottlenecks and resource constraints.
• Allocate work according to available workshop capacity.
• Update schedules when priorities or requirements change.
• Review material and component requirements for planned jobs.
• Identify long-lead items and critical components.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to confirm availability.
• Ensure required materials and parts are available before work is scheduled to commence.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
• Identify material shortages that may cause production delays.
• Coordinate with Stores regarding material issuing and traceability.
• Ensure approved job cards are available before work commences.
• Job cards contain sufficient information to execute the work.
• Ensure drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions are available where required.
• Correctly prioritize work orders.
• Update job cards with progress information.
• Submit completed job cards for inspection, quality verification, and close-out.
• Ensure job documentation is traceable to the relevant customer, machine, component, or project.
