Furnace Operator

Trade Zone Limited is currently looking to hire an experienced Furnace Operator to be based in Lusaka.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and ensure production settings are accurate.
• Monitor daily operation of machinery, adjusting settings as necessary.
• Load and unload furnace.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production in log books.
• Read work orders to determine work assignments.
• Load molds into the pre-heat ovens for cast.
• Prepare furnaces for casting.
• Load metal and flux into furnaces or clay crucibles.

Requirements and skills

•  Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree/Diploma/Certificate or any related field in Furnace operations.
• 2 years and Above work experience, working in a gypsum plant or other industrial setting
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Proficiency with computers and software programs used for monitoring and controlling the plant furnace.
