Import Forwarding Controller

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process import documentation
• Keep clients updated
• Track shipments and update the system accordingly
• Liaise with agents and customers as needed
• Ensure customs entries and supporting documents are submitted accurately and on time
• Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and operational issues
• Verify supplier invoices and prepare customer billing
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate shipment records within the forwarding system

• 2+ years' experience in import forwarding
• Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience is essential
• Knowledge of import customs procedures and shipping documentation
• Experience working with freight forwarding software is advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Matric (Grade 12)
• Relevant logistics or supply chain qualification would be advantageous
