Intermediate - Senior Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate - Senior Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance and optimisation of data solutions within a Procurement Technology environment. The successful candidate will have strong SQL and Azure expertise, with experience in Power Platform technologies and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data solutions using SQL and Azure.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, bug fixes and performance optimisation.
• Develop, test, document and deploy application enhancements and data solutions.
• Perform code optimisation, system integration testing and deployment activities.
• Execute database maintenance, ad hoc queries and data-related changes.
• Ensure compliance with change management, audit and governance processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Essential Skills

• Strong SQL development experience with the ability to build complex solutions.
• Hands-on Azure experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of ITSM processes and production support.
• Ability to independently maintain, troubleshoot and optimise solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience for Intermediate level; 7+ years for Senior level.
• Relevant Degree, Diploma, or equivalent IT qualification.
• Microsoft Azure or Data Engineering certifications are advantageous.
