Junior Fire Engineer

Job Description:

• Assist with the design and development of fire engineering solutions for building projects
• Support the design of sprinkler systems, smoke control, and stair pressurisation systems
• Contribute to deemed-to-satisfy and rational fire safety designs in accordance with SANS regulations
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation
• Participate in project coordination, site inspections, and client meetings
• Assist with tender documentation and contract administration
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes

 
Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in Fire Engineering within a consulting engineering environment
• Good understanding of SANS fire regulations and fire safety design principles
• Experience with sprinkler systems, smoke extraction, and fire protection systems
• Strong report writing and technical communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about developing your engineering career

Qualification:

• BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
